We had established detailed strategic plans, and he represented a crucial component within our system, fulfilling vital in-game responsibilities. Losing a star performer of his caliber significantly affected team dynamics. Additionally, we encountered certain difficulties with poizon that, maintaining professional respect, I choose not to elaborate on.
“Contractual limitations, tournament scheduling, and competitive commitments prevented permanent player acquisitions immediately before the Major, when teams typically avoid roster changes or player releases.

“Competitive success involves considerations extending beyond community expectations. Multiple factors rendered many objectives unattainable, with numerous elements remaining outside our operational control.”
Contract Uncertainty and Initial Performance
Peacemaker clarified that upon joining Complexity, substantial uncertainty already enveloped the squad. With k0nfig, blameF, and poizon approaching their contract conclusions, predicting the 2022 roster composition became impossible.
“This situation persistently concerned the team, though we maintained professional focus,” he stated. “We concentrated on competitive execution and necessary improvements, while recognizing this scenario would emerge before year’s end.
“We maintained belief in the project’s potential. This conviction motivated our acquisition of es3tag, with plans to preserve the roster through December and evaluate based on competitive results.”
Despite numerous complications, peacemaker’s Complexity initially demonstrated promising form. They advanced to the initial playoff stage at ESL Pro League 14, falling to eventual finalists Vitality, and narrowly missed BLAST Premier Fall Final qualification by two rounds.
Performance Decline and Tournament Struggles

Addressing the ‘Troublemaker’ Label
Witnessing the ‘Juggernaut’ dismantle, peacemaker prepared for inevitable criticism and mockery.
Recently, he has received disproportionate blame for team failures compared to recognition for successes. A recurring community narrative suggests he creates friction and ultimately damages coached teams, despite numerous former players and associates publicly defending his methods.

“I internalize community criticism and strive for daily improvement,” he stated. “Many accusations lack factual basis. As I recently communicated online, social media frequently amplifies negativity and hostility. I work to filter these elements and prevent personal impact.
“I joined an organization experiencing persistent difficulties, and coaching cannot produce miraculous transformations. Coaches provide support through long-term development. Traditional sports like football demonstrate that coaching impact often requires months or years to manifest.
“Esports remains distant from this understanding, particularly since CS:GO coaches receive differential treatment. Limited coaches enjoy complete organizational and team support with adequate development time.
“This reality frustrates me, though Complexity management and team members bear no responsibility. The project concluded before I could fully implement my coaching methodology and potentially provide greater player assistance. This generates some disappointment since I genuinely appreciated the players and desired successful outcomes, though I completely comprehend the circumstances and wish everyone future success.”
Organizational Dynamics and Departure
Understanding the perceptions he confronts, peacemaker emphasized implementing no radical alterations during his tenure and collaborating closely with CEO Jason Lake and General Manager Graham Pitt.
“Decision-making authority wasn’t exclusively mine,” he clarified. “Graham, Jason and I reached collective decisions, though the organization maintained final approval.
“My responsibility involved understanding player dynamics and operational methods without implementing sweeping changes. I completely supported blameF’s strategic approach. I concentrated primarily on individual development, player relationships, and match preparation rather than radically altering gameplay or creating conflicts with players or blameF specifically.
“Examining our gameplay reveals certain modifications, and we achieved promising initial results, though specific complications caused consistent performance decline. We attempted solutions, though certain factors remained uncontrollable.”
Complexity released peacemaker on December 1, approximately one month after the North American organization announced transfer availability for remaining players es3tag and jks.

During this period, he conducted management discussions regarding team direction. Ultimately, alignment dissolved, with Complexity reportedly pursuing Copenhagen Flames’ roster, the surprising standout of PGL Major Stockholm.
“Complexity is constructing a different team, and our visions diverged,” peacemaker explained.
“This explains the eventual outcome. I desire their prosperity and maintain excellent relationships throughout the organization. I deeply respect Jason, who provided exceptional treatment from inception.”
Future Aspirations and Brazilian Dreams
Late November reports from The Enemy and Dexerto indicated peacemaker as primary candidate to lead ‘Last Dance’, the designation for an emerging Brazilian squad featuring two-time Major champions Gabriel ‘FalleN’ Toledo, Fernando ‘fer’ Alvarenga and Lincoln ‘fnx’ Lau.
When questioned about potential involvement, peacemaker clearly indicated enthusiasm for coaching such a roster.
“I will persist in coaching—this represents my professional passion,” he affirmed. “I’ve accumulated substantial knowledge recently and still aspire to share these insights.
“Coaching a Brazilian team represents one of my professional ambitions. I haven’t fulfilled this role since 2016, continuously pursuing self-improvement since. Assisting a Brazilian squad achieving competitive excellence remains a primary objective.
“Last Dance discussions remain limited, as I remained under Complexity contract. Now I will thoroughly evaluate opportunities.
“But I maintain aspirations, and I believe the Brazilian community can likewise embrace optimism.”
