Bungie has introduced a new currency that lets players earn various noteworthy rewards from Lightfall, including powerful reissued raid weapons. Here’s how to get Wish Tokens in Destiny 2.
Although it has been somewhat divisive, Lightfall has introduced substantial fresh gameplay elements since its initial release in February 2023.
However, most Guardians hadn’t anticipated Lightfall’s extended lifespan due to The Final Shape’s postponement, which created discontent among many community members. This scheduling shift also produced a content gap that Bungie needed to address creatively.
Alongside this season’s acclaimed dungeon, narrative progressions, and meta-shaping weaponry, the Destiny development team has implemented a novel currency system designed to bridge this gap while providing access to exceptional rewards.
How to Get Wish Tokens
Wish Tokens are received as a reward for completing the Riven’s Wishes weekly quests. These quests will be released once per week for six weeks at Weekly Reset starting on January 30 and ending on March 5.
Each week, Mara Sov will assign you a new quest that requires the completion of various tasks and activities. Once the quest is complete you can return to her to receive one Wish Token for your troubles.

Pro Tip: Prepare for upcoming quests by stockpiling required materials and completing related triumphs in advance. Many weekly objectives involve activities you can pre-complete, allowing instant quest turn-in at reset for maximum efficiency.
Common Pitfall: Don’t wait until the last day to complete quests. Server issues or personal time constraints could cause you to miss a token, and these limited-time opportunities won’t return once the season concludes.
Wish Token Rewards Guide
Wish Tokens can be used to purchase unique rewards from Mara Sov in the H.E.L.M. These rewards include Ascendant Shards, seasonal Mementos, and even Red Border Raid weapons.
