As EXCEL’s longest-tenured current player with nearly three years of service, Patrik’s organizational commitment has sometimes appeared questionable externally, yet he consistently avoided dwelling on historical underperformance.
“Previous roster iterations bore little relevance to current competitive prospects,” Patrik rationalized. “Complete roster turnover between seasons made organizational history largely irrelevant to my decision-making. EXCEL’s current configuration represented my optimal competitive opportunity, including international alternatives.”
Patrik’s loyalty now receives partial validation. Recent competitive history positions EXCEL as potential favorites entering their inaugural playoff series against Vitality scheduled for March 27, marking their first-ever best-of-five competitive experience.
