The development team at Respawn is implementing standardized crosshair configurations, a feature the Apex community has eagerly anticipated for optimizing target acquisition and personal preference.
Justin Masse, Senior Experience Designer, revealed through official channels that the studio is prioritizing UI improvements, starting with enhanced hit marker visibility in colorblind modes added in the July update. This initiative demonstrates Respawn’s commitment to accessibility in competitive gaming.
While some players previously exploited workarounds to modify reticle colors, the forthcoming official solution promises stable implementation with presets including high-contrast options like crimson, gold, azure, and emerald for optimal visibility across all maps.
Player Customization Impact
Community feedback has overwhelmingly supported reticle personalization, with competitive players particularly vocal about the need for adjustable aiming indicators since Season 3. The update will finally address this long-standing request.
