Developer Response
Respawn’s lead designer John Larson acknowledged the community’s frustration during a recent developer podcast. “We’re exploring multiple solutions to maintain Revenant’s power fantasy while addressing the Revtane issue,” he stated. The team is considering everything from audio cues to visual indicators that would help opponents track totem locations.
Potential changes include modifying the return health from Death Protection (currently 50 HP) and increasing the totem’s visibility. Larson noted they’re studying other abilities like Loba’s Black Market and Bloodhound’s Scan as models for clearer visual telegraphing. These adjustments would help opponents anticipate and counter Revtane pushes more effectively.
