Challenge Overview
Fortnite Season 6’s Week 2 challenges arrived unexpectedly early, presenting players with an engaging literary scavenger hunt. This particular quest requires collecting glowing blue literature samples scattered across three major Points of Interest (POIs) on the island.
Pro Tip: While five samples exist across the map, you only need to collect four to complete the challenge and claim your 22,000 XP reward.
The challenge launched ahead of schedule on March 23, 2021, giving players early access to these XP-rich objectives. Unlike Legendary quests that follow the standard Thursday release pattern, these standard challenges became immediately available.
Literature Sample Locations
Pleasant Park Samples
The western white brick house contains the first sample. Enter through the front door and check the left-side living room bookcase for the glowing blue item. Landing Strategy: Aim for this house first as it’s often less contested than the Jonesy location.
The second sample resides in Jonesy The First’s house (northwest corner). Find the NPC’s room and check the adjacent bookshelf. Warning: This location attracts more players due to the NPC interaction opportunity.
Lazy Lake Samples
Southside building with underground garage holds the third sample. Descend to the garage, locate the staircase, and find the glowing item nearby. Stealth Approach: Use the garage entrance to avoid detection from above.
The western gas station contains the fourth sample on its ground floor near the entrance. Quick In-and-Out: This location offers fast access but limited cover.
Retail Row Sample
The eastern bookstore near the water tower holds the currently known fifth sample. Check the first floor shelves. Note: While other POIs have two samples, only one has been confirmed here so far.

Optimal Route: Start at Pleasant Park’s white house, then move to Jonesy’s location. From there, rotate to Lazy Lake’s garage, finishing at the gas station. This path minimizes backtracking.
Common Mistake: Attempting all samples in one match often leads to elimination. Instead, split the challenge across 2-3 matches during off-peak hours when POIs are less crowded.
Advanced Tip: Equip a fishing rod before starting. Many sample locations are near water, allowing quick escapes if needed. The gas station and Lazy Lake garage both offer aquatic exit routes.
