Warzone Season 3 Reloaded patch notes: map changes, new weapon & killstreak, weapon balancing, more

Warzone Season 3 Reloaded: New content, map changes, and weapon updates

Update Overview

The midseason update for Warzone Season 3 brings explosive new content to Verdansk, including iconic 80s action heroes, map changes, and fresh gameplay elements.

Dubbed the ’80s Action Heroes’ update, this content drop transforms Warzone with nostalgic references while introducing competitive new tools like the Combat Bow killstreak.

Raven Software has implemented these changes at the season’s midpoint to reinvigorate the battle royale experience with strategic new options and cosmetic variety.

80s Action Heroes Skins

Two legendary action heroes join Warzone as playable operators, each with complete cosmetic bundles that reference their iconic film appearances.

The Rambo bundle delivers the jungle warrior complete with signature headband, offering two cinematic Finishing Moves and three Legendary Weapon Blueprints (AR, LMG, Knife) alongside cosmetic items.

John McClane’s Die Hard package includes four weapon blueprints (tactical rifle, two SMGs, AR) that reflect the resourceful cop’s improvisational combat style from the films.

Pro Tip: The Rambo knife blueprint pairs exceptionally well with the new Survival Camps for thematic loadouts.

Verdansk Map Updates

Midseason map changes are rare in Warzone, making these three significant location additions particularly noteworthy for strategic gameplay shifts.

Downtown’s new Nakatomi Plaza tower (from Die Hard) offers vertical combat opportunities, while Rambo-themed Survival Camps replace scattered campsites with more defensible positions.

The northwest sector’s CIA Outpost, replacing an aircraft hangar, provides new high-ground positioning near existing points of interest.

Strategy Note: Nakatomi Plaza’s interior mirrors the film’s layout, offering familiar chokepoints for ambush tactics.

New Weapons

The Combat Bow killstreak introduces explosive archery to Warzone, purchasable at Buy Stations with variable power based on draw time.

“Perfect for destroying vehicles or flushing out campers, the Combat Bow requires precise timing but delivers devastating area damage,” explains Raven’s design notes.

The Ballistic Knife, delayed from Black Ops Cold War’s Season 3 launch, offers hybrid melee/ranged capabilities ideal for stealth playstyles.

Advanced Tip: The Ballistic Knife’s projectile has significant drop – practice in Plunder before using in BR.

Weapon Balancing

Submachine Guns and Sniper Rifles receive comprehensive rebalancing to shift the current meta and create new competitive options.

The AK-74u sees reduced range but faster handling, while the PPSh-41 gets damage boosts to compete with top-tier SMGs.

All Black Ops Cold War snipers receive optic adjustments, with specific models gaining flinch resistance or ADS speed improvements.

Loadout Advice: The Swiss K31’s increased flinch resistance makes it more viable for aggressive sniper playstyles.

Common Mistake: Avoid overusing the nerfed AK-74u at range – it now excels in close quarters.

This new Limited Time Mode alters standard battle royale rules with a focus on aggressive play and squad resurrection mechanics.
