The current season extension features a unique “season ends in less than a minute” display, though matches will continue counting toward player progression until the new cutoff.
Barring further complications, Blizzard has scheduled Season 27 to begin on Tuesday, March 9 at 11 AM PST, providing approximately 96 additional hours of Season 26 gameplay.
Leaderboards will remain fully functional during this interim period, allowing players to track their performance until the season officially concludes.

During this extension period, participants can still unlock standard seasonal rewards like character sprays, though competitive point rewards won’t be duplicated for those who’ve already claimed them.
Top 500 competitors should note they won’t receive additional rewards if they’ve already collected their end-of-season prizes, though their rankings will remain visible.
