Lost Ark’s Feast with Friends update brings Reaper class, Tripod rework, and massive quality-of-life improvements
Major Content Updates
Lost Ark’s November Feast with Friends update represents one of the most significant content drops of the year, bringing substantial changes that will reshape how players approach character progression and endgame content.
The Reaper Advanced Class arrives as the third Assassin specialization, offering a unique playstyle focused on deception and burst damage. This shadowy combatant excels at hit-and-run tactics, making it ideal for players who prefer tactical engagements over sustained combat.
Reapers wield dual daggers and possess the ability to summon clones that confuse enemies while the real character disappears from view. This mechanic creates opportunities for devastating back attacks and unexpected positioning shifts during combat encounters.
The Tripod system undergoes its most dramatic transformation since launch, moving skill enhancements from gear-based to character-bound progression. This fundamental change eliminates the frustration of losing Tripod effects when upgrading equipment.
Under the new system, players access their Tripod configurations directly through the skill book interface (shortcut K), allowing for more flexible build experimentation without gear constraints. Success rates for transferring higher-level Tripod effects have been substantially increased across all tiers.
Procyon’s Protection emerges as a game-changing feature designed to ease new players into Legion Raids. This system provides damage buffs and damage reduction specifically tailored for learning these challenging endgame encounters, addressing one of the biggest barriers to entry for casual players.
System Improvements and Economy Updates
The economic landscape receives significant adjustments aimed at creating a more balanced progression curve for all players. Gold rewards have been removed from Rapport and Welcome Quests, replaced with alternative progression materials.
Oreha’s Well Abyss Dungeon sees its Normal Difficulty gold reward reduced from 1500 to 900, while the item level requirement drops to 1325 to match Aira’s Oculus. This change streamlines the early endgame progression path.
Stronghold systems receive their most substantial expansion yet, with players finally gaining access to manor interiors. Completing the “Your Own Manor!” quest unlocks the first floor, with the second floor becoming available through Stronghold research.
New Stronghold teleports connect six key locations: Manor front, Chef’s Kitchen, Farm area, Isolated Island, Trophy Room, and Beach Marina. This network significantly reduces travel time within your personal estate.
The entertainment system introduces comprehensive event hosting tools, including countdown timers, broadcast messages, and interactive quizzes. Stronghold lords can now create engaging social experiences for visiting players.
UI improvements include better Auction House sorting defaults, enhanced card management with automatic duplicate conversion, and expanded guild announcement capabilities. The world map receives substantial usability upgrades with zoom functionality and continent overviews.
Class Balance and Combat Updates
The Destroyer class undergoes comprehensive changes with the introduction of the Earth Wave skill, replacing One Man Army. This new ability offers improved mobility and area control with its cone-shaped attack pattern.
Perfect Swing receives motion improvements and updated Tripod effects, with Gravity Charge becoming a recurring theme across multiple skills. These changes streamline the rotation while maintaining the class’s impactful feel.
Artillerist players experience one of the most significant reworks, with the specialty meter splitting into separate Firepower and Barrage meters. This creates more dynamic gameplay between normal and barrage modes.
The new High Pressure Heat Bullet skill replaces Freeze Shell, offering different tactical applications. Multiple existing skills receive damage adjustments and meter generation changes to align with the new dual-meter system.
Arcana sees the addition of Dealer’s Flip, replacing Infinity Shower. This mobility skill provides crucial repositioning options while maintaining damage output. Card probabilities have been rebalanced, with increased chances for Cull, Balance, Judgment, and Wheel of Fortune cards.
Multiple other classes receive targeted adjustments, including Shadowhunter demon form improvements, Gunslinger stance enhancements, and Scouter hypersync quality-of-life changes. The Hallucination gear set receives significant updates to improve its competitive viability.
Quality of Life and Technical Improvements
The MVP system receives substantial enhancements with new categories including “Last One Standing” and “Counterpuncher.” Calculation methods now exclude failed contributions and focus solely on successful combat performance.
Players can now set MVP poses through the emote system’s new MVP Settings menu. The updated UI emphasizes top performers in each category, providing clearer recognition for combat contributions.
Controller support reaches new levels of refinement with improved menu navigation and skill targeting. Context menus can now be accessed in guild, party, and find party interfaces using controller combinations.
Selfie Mode transforms into a comprehensive photography system with 11 filters, 100 stickers, and numerous character poses. The interface can be completely hidden for clean screenshot composition, while improved gaze processing creates more natural-looking images.
Spectator mode in PvE content receives major upgrades with expandable UI, combat effect toggles, and improved debuff display. These changes make learning from other players’ performances significantly easier.
Proving Grounds penalty systems now use cumulative timing that increases with repeated offenses, while custom match settings gain more flexibility in match duration and bot configurations.
