Complete guide to Tracing the Stars III Atlas Skews with expert navigation tips and reward analysis
Quest Overview and Starting Procedure
Return to the mystical Dreaming City for the third installment of the Tracing the Stars questline, focusing on locating elusive Atlas Skews scattered throughout the northern regions.
Destiny 2’s recurring Tracing the Stars quest continues its weekly rotation, bringing Guardians back to familiar territory with new challenges. While the routine of assisting Mara Sov might feel repetitive, the conclusion approaches with only one remaining quest after this third iteration. Here’s your comprehensive strategy for efficiently completing Tracing the Stars III.
We stand merely seven days from completing the entire Tracing the Stars narrative arc. Despite the excitement of nearing the finale, this week presents arguably the most demanding navigation challenges yet encountered in the series.
Following traditional Sov family complexity, Tracing the Stars III demands careful attention to environmental navigation. Fortunately, optimized routes through the Dreaming City have been mapped to streamline your progress. While not the simplest objective you’ll undertake, the constraints of working with the Reef’s royalty necessitate strategic approaches.
If you missed previous Tracing the Stars installments, reference these comprehensive guides to catch up.
- Rheasilvia – Secluded Statue
- Rheasilvia – Lower Level
- Rheasilvia – Temple Outlook
- Harbinger – Side Hall
- Harbinger – Ahamkara Skulls
Following established patterns from prior weeks, begin at the Wayfinder’s Compass within H.E.L.M. to acquire the quest. After obtaining the objective, traverse the portal and consult with Mara Sov. This week’s interaction remains brief without additional contextual information. Complete the dialogue promptly and proceed directly to Rheasilvia to commence your search.
Every Atlas Skew for this weekly iteration resides within Rheasilvia, positioned at the Dreaming City’s northern extremity.

Comprehensive Atlas Skew Locations
This initial Skew presents straightforward acquisition. At Rheasilvia’s loading zone, you’ll encounter a bridge linking the entrance to the main area. Position yourself at the bridge’s forward edge and observe downward on the right side. The Skew should be clearly visible. Consider using controlled descent techniques to avoid fatal falls from miscalculated drops.
For this Skew, traverse the bridge from Rheasilvia’s starting point and turn left toward the rock formation overlooking Harbinger’s Seclude entrance. Leap from this position and target the platform directly ahead.
A cluster of rocks appears immediately to your left. Ascend to the uppermost rock surface to discover the Temple Outlook Skew awaiting collection.
This location tests Guardian mobility proficiency, so prepare accordingly. Similar to the Temple Outlook approach, navigate to Harbinger’s Seclude entrance. Skip the initial circular platform and advance to the secondary platform. Along the right flank, you’ll identify a protruding rock formation extending from the wall. This marks the starting point of a pathway leading to the opposite mountainside. The route remains invisible from this initial position, but by jumping and boosting around the edge, you’ll discover additional landing surfaces.
Follow the rock pathway across the chasm. After crossing the gap, another prominent rock platform becomes available for landing. Then propel upward and mantle onto the cliff summit. The Skew rests openly at the statue’s foundation.
To locate this Skew, initiate the same route used for Outlook and Secluded Statue collection. This iteration requires progressing beyond both areas into Harbinger’s Seclude proper.
Upon reaching Harbinger’s Seclude initial chamber, navigate through the crimson-lit corridor and turn left around the corner. At the room’s distant side, a doorway opens to an area featuring a central large statue. Looking rightward reveals an ornate chamber containing a monolith. The Skew positions itself within a circular pillar arrangement in that room.
The ultimate Skew lies slightly beyond the Side Hall location. Rather than entering the Side Hall chamber, maintain forward momentum through the doorway crowned with a large disk. Descend the spiral staircase and reverse direction. A portal leading to an enormous pit will appear. Launch into the abyss while activating boost before impact.
After reaching the bottom, proceed into the subsequent chamber and observe the left-side memorial. Secure the final Astral Skew and journey back to H.E.L.M.
