BLAST Premier expands global CS:GO coverage to 157 territories with 18 language options

BLAST Premier’s Worldwide Reach

The premier Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament circuit has significantly expanded its global footprint. BLAST Premier events now reach audiences in 157 different countries and territories, with commentary available in 18 distinct languages.

Recent broadcast agreements have propelled BLAST Premier’s coverage to new markets, including several regions previously underserved by top-tier esports content.

The Danish tournament organizer continues to feature elite CS:GO squads like Astralis, Team Vitality, and Natus Vincere in its year-round competition series. This expansion comes as viewership numbers demonstrate consistent growth across all regions.

New partnerships with regional broadcasters now bring BLAST Premier to viewers in Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Iceland, Canada, Kosovo, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, India and throughout the Caribbean. These additions bring the total number of media partners to over 35 worldwide.

Tournament Structure and Schedule

The 2021 BLAST Premier season is just beginning, with the Spring Showdown scheduled as the next major competition. This event serves as a qualifier for the Spring Final, with the Fall season culminating in December’s World Final championship.

The Spring Showdown begins with high-profile matchups including Astralis versus OG and G2 Esports facing Team Endpoint. All matches will be streamed live on Twitch and YouTube platforms.

“We’re excited to bring these competitions to more viewers than ever before,” commented Alexander Lewin, BLAST’s VP of Distribution. “Our expanded broadcast network ensures fans worldwide can follow their favorite teams throughout the season.”

Esports Media Landscape

While media rights constitute major revenue for traditional sports, esports organizations are still developing this income stream. Tournament operators like BLAST, ESL, and Riot Games are pioneering models for sustainable esports broadcasting.

The expansion into 157 territories represents significant progress for competitive gaming’s global reach. Industry analysts note that consistent viewership growth makes esports increasingly attractive to international broadcast partners.

“This is just the beginning of our global expansion,” Lewin added. “As esports viewership continues rising, we anticipate forging additional partnerships to serve emerging markets.”
