Danish esports organization Astralis has officially confirmed the acquisition of professional AWPer Asger ‘Farlig’ Jensen, previously representing GODSENT and FunPlus Phoenix in competitive Counter-Strike.
The Danish powerhouse has finalized terms with former GODSENT and FunPlus Phoenix competitor Asger ‘Farlig’ Jensen, marking a significant roster adjustment for the legendary organization.
Farlig transitions to Astralis without transfer compensation after his contract with Chinese organization FunPlus Phoenix concluded in January, concluding a twelve-month partnership.
He assumes primary AWP responsibilities from Philip ‘Lucky’ Ewald, whose performance metrics failed to meet organizational standards since his August 2021 recruitment. During IEM Katowice’s group stage, Lucky recorded disappointing statistics including a 0.95 HLTV rating and merely 0.23 AWP eliminations per round, contributing to the team’s premature 7th-8th place elimination.
Astralis management anticipates that integrating an established sniper specialist will rejuvenate a lineup that has underperformed relative to expectations following the high-profile additions of Kristian ‘k0nfig’ Wienecke and Benjamin ‘blameF’ Bremer last November.
