ENCE CS:GO roster update: Allu’s leave of absence and team adjustments explained
ENCE CS:GO Roster Update
Finnish esports veteran Aleksi ‘allu’ Jalli has announced an indefinite break from competitive play with ENCE’s CS:GO team, prioritizing mental health recovery.
The renowned AWPer’s decision comes after years of intense competition with minimal breaks, highlighting the growing awareness of player wellbeing in esports.
ENCE’s May 12 announcement acknowledged the demanding nature of the current CS:GO competitive season, particularly in the online tournament format that has eliminated traditional offseason periods.
“While we’ve celebrated significant achievements this season, we recognize the unsustainable pace of modern esports,” the organization stated. “Our priority remains supporting our players’ health while maintaining competitive excellence. Aleksi’s decision reflects the maturity and self-awareness we value in our roster.”
Allu’s personal statement revealed the cumulative effect of competitive stress: “The non-stop schedule since 2020 left me physically and emotionally depleted. Continuing without proper recovery would compromise my performance and wellbeing.”
The veteran player emphasized this as a necessary step to prolong his career: “This break will allow me to return stronger to the game I’m passionate about. I’m grateful for the understanding from my team and fans during this challenging period.”
